Many are the attentions that take these vines during spring. The grapevine transforms itself radically from the beginning of this season until the end of it. The vine-growers of Reina de Castilla, always attentive to the needs of his vineyards, change the winter's semi-lethargy for a frantic activity that will see his culmination with the vintage.
The vine-growers, who integrate the Winery, have been specialized during decades in the cultivation of the Verdejo, autochthonous variety of the DO Rueda. The winery possesses 223 hectares of own vineyards, being the variety Verdejo the one that predominates; in minor measure there are cultivated other varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Viura and Tempranillo. The land of the zone is characterized by the surface of rolled singings, the permeable soils and clayey subsoils.
